posting notice
Hiding FootAsylum's refurbishment.

As described by themselves "FootAsylum is a designer-branded footwear and clothing retailer positioned specializing in rare and designer trainers and clothing and aiming to provide a footwear and clothing institution which offers consumers the best products for customers to buy in an innovative environment offering a new, conceptual shopping experience."

And when taking on the brief of posting the notice that their flag-ship Manchester store was closing for a weeks refurbishment, we did just that: posted notice.

The entire glass front of the store was transformed into an urban setting then visually attacked with graphic 'posting' puns. Fly-posting was first up with posters of flys, trouser zips, Superman and aeroplanes. Post No Bills flippantly did just the opposite with cameos from Bill Oddie, William Shakespeare, one US dollar, and everyone's favourite public service The Police. And for the longest window we decided to have a bit more fun by posting post-its, each one capturing, and exploring the attitude of the brand.

No Fly Posting it reads… …you tell that to a giant fly. The Post No Bills… …where you have to love Mr. Oddie. Little messages were also posted. Alongside not so little post-its… …but they created interest at least
