hook, line and sinker
A fishy diary for 2008.

The Yorkshire Water Riverlife diary is a celebration of an investment of over £250m in waste-water treatment works around the region. These improvements will help a wider variety of fish to thrive in the regions rivers and create a diverse ecosystem attracting further wildlife to Yorkshire's rivers.

Using the 12 months of the year we graphically told the various stories of the investment and its affects. It incorporates; poetry from a regional poetry competition; children's stories from Yorkshire schools; fishy jokes throughout April; fold-out maps for walking the regions countryside; prints from credited Yorkshire photographer Ian Beesley; and even a calendar for Xmas.

All combined to create a witty, interactive and humorous way to log in the daily chores.

I've got something planned, a little, subtle trickery, to fully enhance the experience of viewing my work. Hopefully, it will be likened to being given a guided tour, if you would like, of the actual work. The Riverlife diary would benefit from this as it has a special metallic mirror-board which refracts colour so it looks, and behaves, like fish scales. And it comes complete with net. What a catch. So watch this space.

We illustrated stories graphically… …even the poems were fishy. We got sticky for April fools day… …and to the point when measuring. Great shots become big posters and… …honestly they are this big. Even… …the format was food for thought
