bringing words to life
An anthology of poetry from amateur writers.

At the Kitchen Table is an anthology of poems and short stories written by Lancashire writers as part of the BBC's national RaW (Reading and Writing) campaign.
The design of the book took inspiration from both its content and the RaW ethos of bringing words to life—so that's what we did—using type (governed by strict BBC guidelines, hmm) as illustration we created a visual theme that complimented the humour and style of the poems, whilst still allowing them to be the focal point.
The book and the group of writers have been giving readings of the book on BBC Radio and the book is available through the BBC (all donations go to Children in Need—wouldn't be the Beeb any other way eh).
Aha, you can now have a look at what the Beeb thin here on their website (including a shot of me from the back—guy in black, second picture down— and Chris, who also worked on it, from the side—last picture, hovering in the background). Funny ey.
